Subway has captured lots of attention with its $5 foot-long offers, its weight-losing spokesman, its toasted subs, and, yes, its "Chuck" exposure. What it comes down to is that Subway is a decent place for a decent sandwich made with decent food at a decent price. If you skip some of the gloppy sauces and the potato chips, it's even a healthy meal.
This latest Ithaca-area franchise has been opened by the former owner of the Subway franchise at Ide's Bowling. The staff seems oddly bright and interested in providing good service, and the typical fast-food tables are supplemented with comfy chairs that look like they'd be in place in a living room. Stop in for a quick and inexpensive breakfast sandwich, or grab lunch or dinner starting with sandwiches for $3 and up.
