Farmers Market back at East Hill and Downtown Ithaca locations through October

June 4, 2014

It's a sure sign of summertime: the Ithaca Farmers Market has expanded from its almost-year-round venue at Steamboat Landing on the Cayuga Lake waterfront and is now open in Downtown Ithaca and on East Hill until October.

Downtown hours began last month at Dewitt Park on Tuesdays from 9am-2pm, and Thursday hours, 4-7pm, resume this week. With booths along the sidewalks on Buffalo Street and Cayuga Street, the downtown market typically offers a few fresh produce farm stands and a few prepared food vendors.

The East Hill farmers market resumes today, offering several farm stands, some bakery and craft stands, and a couple of prepared food stands each week, Wednesdays from 4-7pm on Pine Tree Road. The location is just north of the Rite Aid drug store across the street from East Hill Plaza and Agava Restaurant.
