It's been two and a half years since the iconic Lucatelli's Italian Ristorante closed its doors in Ithaca's southwest, and we finally know what will be opening next.

"We will gather ingredients from around the globe, while showcasing the bounty of our beautiful region," says a statement from the Mix Social Dining team, which includes folks we know from Mahogany Grill. A representative tells us there will be 24 tapas dishes on the menu, as well as pasta specialties to honor and recall the Lucatelli's menu.
Chef Shayne Johnson from Mahogany Grill and his wife Mix are the restaurant's new owners, and they're working with Matt Torchia, Mahogany Grill's owner, on the new project.

Lucatelli's was well known for homemade pasta and gnocchi, as well as its antipasto salad bar, steaks, and wine.
