Bellwether Cider has a cask night at Pixel Lounge on March 12th, featuring a new cider made from a blend of antique apples and modern dessert apples, and a cidermakers afternoon tasting and potluck dinner at the Cidery, open to home and commercial cider makers and cider fans, on March 28th.
Blue Stone Bar & Grill's winter wine dinner on March 28th features a series of wines from Standing Stone Winery with six matched courses ranging from tuna tartare to gorgonzola polenta to Peking duck. Check with Blue Stone also for their frequent complimentary wine tastings.
Statler Hotel Taverna BanfiTaverna Banfi at the Statler Hotel is presenting a series of dinners coming up. On March 31st there's a gourmet four-course dinner featuring wines from Castello Banfi Vintners, the Tuscan winery from which the restaurant gets its name. On April 12th and 26th, Leah and Amelia from Felicia's Atomic Lounge host a three-course dinner paired with locally created cocktails, a joint effort between Felicia's and students. And on April 20th and 21st there's a three-course dinner paired with wines from Cayuga Lake's own King Ferry Winery, with Peter Saltonstall from the winery.
At the end of April, Thursday April 29th brings a fundraiser for the Tompkins County SPCA to Pixel Lounge in Collegetown, with half-price cocktails for those making donations to the SPCA, which is still reeling from taking in over 100 animals seized at a home in Brooktondale.
After a month without the Winter Market at the Women's Community Building, everyone's looking forward to the Ithaca Farmers Market reopening for the season at Steamboat Landing on Saturday, April 3rd. Sundays at Steamboat Landing and Tuesdays downtown at Dewitt Park resume in May, and Thursdays at Dewitt Park return in June.
